Welcome to the website of Bromley Indoor Bowls Centre Ltd

Bromley Indoor Bowls Centre offers a warm welcome to bowlers of all abilities.

Despite the name, it is worth clarifying that we are located in Orpington (near the Fire Station in Avalon Road) and also cater for outdoor bowlers during the summer via BIBCOS (Bromley Indoor Bowls Centre Outdoor Section).

Officially opened in October 1997, and part funded by the National Lottery, Bromley Indoor Bowls Centre provides first class facilities all year round.

It provides an ideal venue for everything from casual games and friendlies, to inter-club league and national matches.

The centre is equipped to meet top competition standards.  We have eight indoor which are used annually in September to host World Championship Qualifiers, and 6 outdoor rinks which have a state-of-the-art all-weather surface.

The website is now up and running

You can now see the rinks booking availability and the latest league tables

thank you for your patience.

Fancy trying a Commonwealth Games Sport?  Try Bowls!

Bromley Indoor Bowls Centre is a sociable place.  Bowls is a great way to relax, make new friends and feel part of a local community - our club is an amazing social lifeline for many members.

Bowls is a sport suitable for all gender, ages, ethnicities and disabilities.  Compared to most sports, age and gender differences have less of an effect.  Competition amongst friends and family is enjoyable - our club can feel like a home from home.

Whatever your physique, bowls is a sport for everybody and it can help improve your fitness levels and mental wellbeing.   Players enjoy and recommend bowls – the majority will only stop through ill-health!

Come and Try Bowling at Bromley Indoor Bowls Centre …. come for a FREE session (with all the equipment provided) and try our catering at ‘Rink 9’.

Playing bowls is a simple skill which can take minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master.  Most bowlers wish they’d started sooner - don’t delay, give our reception team a call on 01689 834341 and Try Bowls at BIBC!

Feedback from the visit of The Chelsea Pensioners on 9th February 2022 ….

“A real joy for all of us from the Royal Hospital to be marking a return to some sort of normality, after nearly 2 years of COVID, with a game of bowls with a very friendly and welcoming club in a wonderful facility. Our inexperience at indoor bowling was clear to see and thanks to Bromley for taking pity on us and mixing the teams so we were not totally humiliated. It was real pleasure to meet you all, enjoy your splendid company and hospitality and we very much look forward to returning next year, hopefully better prepared, to help celebrate your 25th Anniversary.”

Jonny Lowe, Lieutenant Colonel, Captain Number 2 Company, Royal Hospital Chelsea
